We offer boxing classes because it challenges the body as well as the mind. Research has demonstrated that training with boxing techniques combats neurological disorders. At Uptown, our boxing program is a total body workout designed to give our members a new way to have fun burning calories while developing new skills and strengths needed to achieve your fitness goals. We focus on learning the basics of boxing, this includes proper equipment and how to use it, technique, and safety. It is a progressive program with varied levels of challenge. Once you have established a strong foundation of basics, the boxing classes are an amazing opportunity to come in and let out some aggressive energy while continuing on the path to total body fitness and wellness.
This is a BYOB facility: in other words, bring your own boxing gloves and wraps. If you don’t have any gloves, we have some to purchase in our retail area.
